Click to expand.It's highly unlikely that Nvidia would drop support for 9xx and 10xx series. That would give them terrible PR and would be terrible for getting people to buy a new Nvidia card. Ie: why would mac users buy more Nvidia cards if they're not going to be supported after a couple years? Nvidia has to look at the overall market when they make decisions like these, which consists of 9xx and 10xx taking a large chunk of the pie. Nvidia doesn't have to do too much to upgrade their kexts, as they're not writing the drivers from scratch at this point. Apple is also embracing the use of external GPU's, which means a lot more people are going to be using Nvidia cards than the past few years. It'd be beyond stupid for them to not release anything soon.
